Per our contractor's extensive review of building options, reducing the proposed addition/ADU to 480 sq ft in order to comply with the 1800 sq ft restriction would not allow sufficient disabled movement and accessibility for wheelchairs and other assistive devices and cost substantively more per sq ft in construction without being able to achieve our overall purpose - aging in place with appropriate space and support.
