Action: 4.01 First and Third Class Restaurant/Bar Liquor License Application (2020-2021): Mad River Distillers, 137 St. Paul Street. approve the 2020-2021 First and Third Class Restaurant/Bar Liquor License Application for Mad River Distillers, 137 St. Paul Street with all standard conditions
Mimi Buttenheim, one of the owners, spoke on behalf of Mad River Distillers. They have used a special event permit in the past as well as a 4th class tasting permit in the past, however the state DLC has asked manufacturers to obtain 1st and 3rd class licenses moving forward. There was no legal mechanism before for them to get a class 3 license previously, hence the move to make the change now.

Action 4.02 Second Class Liquor License Application (2020-2021): Hilton Burlington, 60 Battery Street. Approve the 2020-2021 Second Class Liquor License Application for Hilton Burlington with all standard conditions
Pete Engard and Susan Hibbs spoke on behalf of the Hilton Burlington. The Hilton has gone through a renovation and now has a marketplace next to the front desk in which they would like to provide wine and beer to their guests. All purchasers are required to provide ID (additionally, the hotel requires that all patrons reserving rooms be over the age of 21), and sales will be conducted by charging purchases to rooms or using other cashless methods. The marketplace is supervised around the clock.
